Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded outgoing Army Signal Regiment Brig. Gen. Milton Y. Beset during the regiment’s change of command and retirement ceremony on July 11, 2022 at the Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
The CGPA, in his keynote address, commended Brig. Gen. Beset for leading the regiment in providing Command and Control Communications, and Cyber Systems (C4S) tools and crucial information for the Philippine Army’s leadership and commanders both at the operational and tactical levels.
“Brig. Gen. Beset, you have certainly exemplified the standards of servant-leadership for the Philippine Army’s signal and cyber warriors who have sustained decisive gains in the information environment,” the CGPA said.
Brig. Gen. Beset took helm of ASR in October 2020 where he played a key role in a establishing a credible PA cyberdefense posture. The 6th ASR Commander played a crucial role in providing "one network" for the Philippine Army through various transformation initiatives. He is set to retire on July 12, 2022 after nearly 33 years of military service.
