The Philippine Army's Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, G7, Col. Patricio Ruben A. Amata highlighted the value of civil-military collaboration during the three-day Civil Military Operations (CMO) Forum held at the First Pacific Leadership Academy, Antipolo City, Rizal on July 13 to 15, 2022.
“Civil-military relationships initially can be difficult to establish as each organization may have different priorities as they work toward a common goal. Therefore, developing shared understanding and approach towards shared objectives is imperative,” Col. Amata said in his remarks.
Col. Amata added that successful partnerships enable the sharing of information and resources needed for the attainment of common goals and set the stage for future collaborative efforts.
The three-day forum, spearheaded by the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations gathered CMO officers of South Luzon and NCR-based Philippine Army Major Units. The activity served as a venue for the Army's CMO officers to review the implementation of current CMO policies and programs, and enhance the formulation of relevant policies, guidelines, and directives.
