Army runners rule PNP fund-raising race

The Philippine Army Athletics Team ruled the uniformed men and women categories of the Malolos City Police Station's 8-kilometer fund raising race dubbed as "Takbo sa Paglipad ng Agila Kontra Kriminalidad at Droga" in Malolos City, Bulacan on July 16, 2022.
 
Three Army runners copped the three of the top five finishers in the uniformed men category with Sergeant Aris O. Africa placing first with his teammates Corporal Jobert S. Carolino and Staff Sergeant Jujet P. De Asis placing second and fourth, respectively.
 
Army runners also ruled the distaff side after sweeping the top four awards with Corporal Ailene O. Tolentino emerging as champion, followed by Corporal Macrose M. Dichoso, Corporal Jho-an F. Villarma, and Private Marylyn A. Avila who copped the second to fourth places.
 
Runners from the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Philippine National Police as well as athletes from universities and local running clubs, and civilian running enthusiasts competed in the said race-for-a-cause.
 
Special Service Center (SSC) Director Col. John Oliver F. Gabun lauded the Army Athletics Team for stamping their class in the PNP-hosted race. “Your steadfast dedication to train hard on top of fulfilling your duties as soldiers is truly admirable. Your will to win and be the best soldier-athletes is truly laudable. Kudos and continue your winning momentum!” the SSC Chief said.
