Army Black Mamba Lady Troopers bolsters PVL semis bid

The Army Black Mamba Lady Troopers bested Choco Mucho Flying Titans in a nailbiter four-set match as the team hikes its win-loss record to 2-1 in the Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City on July 19, 2022.

The Lady Troopers frustrated the Flying Titans, 25-22, 22-25, 26-24, 25-18, rallying from a second set loss and an early huge third set deficit.

The Lady Troopers now share the third spot with PLDT Home Fibr Hitters following tournament leaders Cignal HD Spikers and Creamline Cool Smashers. The Army team is looking to firm up its bid to enter the PVL semifinals that will see action from Taiwanese and Japanese teams.

Special Service Center (SSC) Director Col. John Oliver F. Gabun lauded the Lady Troopers for their never-say-die attitude. “Your determination, grit and will to win—these qualities will propel you to greater heights,” Col. Gabun said.
