The 53rd Engineer “Visayas Builders” Brigade (53EBde), the Army’s engineering unit in the Visayas, ruled the Scaffolding Works Skills Competition 2022 which is among the highlights of Philconstruct Visayas in Cebu City on July 24, 2022.
The Visayas Builders team bested three other engineering team firms that participated in the annual competition which is one of Philconstruct Expo's highlights. Army engineers won the championship based on the stringent criteria set by the construction industry.
The Cebu Construction Association, Inc. and Technical Education And Skills Development Authority Region VII (Central Visayas) hosted the said competition.
Meanwhile, Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded the Visayas Builders for winning the scaffolding competition. The Army Chief likewise commended the brigade for providing exemplary service evident in the completion of various base and combat support projects and civic action initiatives under the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict Project Partnership Agreement and timely humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts during calamities.
