Army cyclists rule Bulacan mountain bike race, Ilocos Sur triathlon

The Philippine Army cycling team bagged two medals in the Pulilan, Bulacan Bike Festival CrossCountry Race while an Army triathlete stamped his class in the Tagudin, Ilocos Sur Triathlon-Duathlon organized by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines on July 24, 2022.
 
Staff Sergeant Alvin Benosa emerged as the champion in the 35 years old and up age bracket of the Pulilan Bike Festival while his teammate Corporal Criz Joven bagged the silver medal in the said category. The cross-country race which was held at the SM Pulilan Racetrack saw the participation of cycling teams of AFP major service branches, members of the national cycling team, and cycling enthusiasts.
 
Meanwhile, Staff Sergeant Reynaldo Navarro topped the 45 to 49 age bracket of the Tagudin, Ilocos Sur Triathlon-Duathlon held at the Filmag Beach in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur.
 
Special Service Center Director John Oliver F. Gabun lauded the Army cyclists and runners for continuously striving to excel and win. “Kudos on your victory! Your dedication to set goals and train hard to achieve them is a testament to the Army athletes' indomitable will to win,” the SSC Chief said.
