Ready Reserve Units under the 1st Regional Community Defense Group (1RCDG) of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army tested their mobilization readiness in a two-day Mobilization Exercise and Command Post Exercise near the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway’s (TPLEX) exit in Binalonan, Pangasinan Exit from July 23 to July 24, 2022.
The 103rd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn) based in La Union and the 104RRIBn based in Pangasinan participated in the Command Post Exercise while three platoons from the 103RRIBn, 104RRIBn and 105RRIBn joined the Mobility Exercise where they performed deployment drills. The 7th Infantry Division, through the Office of the Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, facilitated the two-day drills.
The Army’s Reserve Command’s Ready Reserve Units are composed of reservists who are subject to call at any time to augment regular forces not only in times of war or national emergency but also to meet local emergencies arising from calamities, disasters and threats to peace, order, security.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., in his command guidance, has vowed to bolster the Army’s reserve forces.
