Philippine, Indonesian armies strengthen partnership

The Philippine Army (PA) welcomed the visit of the Indonesian Army -Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Darat (TNI-AD) delegation led by Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Training for Military Cooperation Brig. Gen. Thevi A. Zebua at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on July 28, 2022.
 
Acting Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Roy M. Galido received Brig. Gen. Zebua conveyed the TNI-AD’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with PA. The two general officers also tackled bilateral activities between the two land forces that are scheduled for this year.
 
The two general officers reiterated the importance of training exchanges and other bilateral engagements aimed at enhancing interoperability as well as boosting Filipino-Indonesian camaraderie.
Brig. Gen. Zebua, who heads the TNI-AD delegation, is in the country to attend the Indonesia-Philippine Army Working Group Meeting, an annual bilateral activity hosted alternately by both armies. The meeting is geared at reviewing and assessing PA-TNI AD bilateral activities slated for this year and developing bilateral engagements for the succeeding year.
