Army engineers bolster standby force for Northern Luzon quake victims

The 525th Engineer Combat “Mandirigtas” Battalion, 51st Engineer Brigade prepared two search and rescue teams equipped with collapsed structure search and rescue that can be deployed on a moment’s notice to assist in the disaster-response efforts for quake-stricken communities in Northern Luzon on July 28, 2022.
Mandirigtas troopers and their equipment are now on standby and ready for deployment at a moment’s notice at Camp General Rigoberto J. Atienza in Libis, Quezon City and the Mandirigtas Training Area in Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
Philippine Army troops, reservists and ROTC cadets are taking part in the rescue and relief efforts for families affected by the destructive quake that hit the Ilocos Region, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley in the early morning of July 27, 2022.
