Army troops, reservists continue clearing and relief efforts for quake victims

Army troops and reservists are working ‘round the clock to help quake-stricken families in Abra and other Ilocos Region provinces on July 28, 2022.
71st Infantry Battalion (71IB) troops and residents worked hand in hand to clear key roads blocked by landslides in Barangay Tubtuba in the municipality of Tubo, Abra.
Additionally, reservists under the 1st Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army were mobilized to assist in disaster response operations for quake-stricken families in the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.
The Philippine Army mobilized troops and reservists in the wake of the massive destruction left by the magnitude-7.0 tremor that jolted Northern Luzon on the morning of July 27, 2022. The organized Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) teams, hand in hand with responders from national government agencies, local government units and non-government organizations, are assisting in clearing landslide-hit roads; distributing aid for quake-affected families; and helping in the search and retrieval efforts for quake victims.
