Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded the multi-titled Army Dragon Warriors who rendered a courtesy call at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on July 29, 2022.
Special Service Center Director Col. John Oliver F. Gabun led the Army Dragon Warriors in the courtesy call. The Army Chief lauded the Army Dragon Warriors for their recent victory in the 1st Dapa, Siargao Dragonboat Competition.
Lt. Gen. Brawner, in his speech, has vowed to provide ample resources to support every Army athlete in sustaining their winning momentum. The Army Chief likewise lauded them for effectively juggling their duties and responsibilities as soldiers and athletes.
Philippine Army Dragon Warriors has been a powerhouse team since it debuted in local dragon boat races back in 2010. The team brought home gold medals during the International Dragon Boat Federation-sanctioned World Dragon Boat Championships in Italy on 2014 and Australia on 2016.
