Tribute continues to pour for FVR

Tribute continues to pour for the late 12th President Fidel Valdez Ramos (FVR) as military leaders, as well as former and incumbent government leaders, pay their last respects to the former commander-in-chief whose cremated remains lie in state at the Heritage Park in Taguig City on August 6, 2022.
 
Outgoing Armed Forces Chief of Staff Gen. Andres C. Centino paid his last respects to the former president on Saturday morning. Likewise, FVR’s successor, the 13th President of the Republic Joseph Estrada, former AFP Chief of Staff and former senator Rodolfo Biazon, Senator Grace Poe, and former defense secretary Eduardo Ermita honored the life and legacy of FVR in their visit to Heritage Park.
 
Maj. Gen. Jose P. Magno Jr., who retired as Commanding General of the Southern Command in Mindanao in 1986, and retired Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) officers also paid respects to FVR who passed away on July 31, 2022 at the age of 94.
 
The Philippine Army will join a composite team of soldiers and policemen who will serve as honor guards for FVR's state funeral procession from the Heritage Park to the Libingan ng mga Bayani on the morning of August 9, 2022.
