Brig. Gen. Nafarrete served as Brigade Commander of the 1101st Infantry Brigade, 11th Infantry Division prior to his new designation. He also served as executive officer of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Armed Forces of the Philippines (OJ3, AFP), and as chief of staff of the Presidential Security Group. Brig. Gen. Nafarrete, like his predecessor, belongs to the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkis Lahi” Class of 1990. He holds a Master’s degree in Management from the Philippine Christian University.
“Brig. Gen. Sino Cruz, I commend you for leading the Tabak troopers in sustaining the operational momentum of the division. I count on you to live up to the ‘Tabak’ legacy of sustaining excellence and military professionalism in your endeavors,” Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., said.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Brawner called on Brig. Gen. Nafarette to sustain the hard-earned peace and socio-economic development across 1ID's area of operations in Western Mindanao. “I count on you to ensure the morale and welfare of Tabak troopers as they are the most indispensable resource of the Philippine Army,” the Army Chief added.
