Army Chief reiterates command guidance SERVE to Tabak troopers

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., reiterated his command guidance “SERVE” which serves as the driving force of the 110,000-strong Philippine Army in his keynote address before Tabak troopers at Camp Major Cesar Sang-an, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur on August 11, 2022.

Lt. Gen. Brawner vowed to focus on ensuring the physical well-being as well as the mental health of soldiers, the Army’s most indispensable resource. The Army Chief also committed to enhancing the individual competencies of soldiers and unit capabilities and pushing down much-needed resources to operating units nationwide. He said these three thrusts will capacitate the Army in attaining victory over state enemies and pursuing operational excellence.

The Army Chief said newly acquired game-changer assets will be deployed to the Tabak Division’s area of responsibility which covers Western Mindanao. The Army Chief likewise instructed field commanders to maximize the use of game-changer assets in the fulfillment of their mission to secure the land.

“We are going to hit two birds with one round of ammunition—we are training our troops while we are sending a strong message to our enemies that we mean business,” Lt. Gen. Brawner said.

Lt. Gen. Brawner presided the Tabak Division's change of leadership with Brig. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarette assuming the leadership of the division from Brig. Gen. Jose Randolph M. Sino Cruz who served as the unit's acting commander when Maj. Gen. Generoso M. Ponio bowed out of service on July 9, 2022.
