Army charts 2040 strategic communication plan

The Philippine Army commenced its two-day strategic communication workshop aimed at coming up with a strong message that will convey the 2040 transformation story of the 110,000-strong organization to external and internal audiences on August 24, 2022 in Tagaytay City, Cavite.

The two-day workshop gathered planners from the Army Governance and Strategy Management Office, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, Office of the International Military Affairs, Office of the Army Chief Public Affairs, Training and Doctrine Command, and Civil-Military Operations Regiment.

It can be recalled that Philippine Army unveiled its Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR) in 2010. The 18-year strategic roadmap laid out strategic directions aimed at transforming the Army into a credible, reliable, responsive, capable, and more committed to its mandate of serving the people and securing the land.

The Philippine Army is now entering the ATR’s third and final base camp wherein it aims to achieve its full potential as a world-class Army by 2028. The Army's planners held the two-day workshop to craft a strategic communication plan that will play a vital role in sustaining the organization's long-term vision of becoming multi-domain capable and multi-mission ready by the year 2040.
