Indonesian Army Chief of Staff visits HPA

Indonesian Army Chief of Staff General Dudung Abdurachman rendered a courtesy call on Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. to bolster ties between the two armies at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on August 25, 2022.

Lt. Gen. Brawner and General Abdurachman discussed deepening the committed partnership between the two armies through bilateral trainings and other exchanges. Earlier in the day, the CGPA also led the arrival honors for the visiting Indonesian Army General.

It can be noted that bilateral activities between the Philippine and Indonesian armies are anchored on the Amended Terms of Reference (TOR) signed in December 2016. The Amended TOR laid the guidelines and rules of procedure between the two land forces.

Staff officers from both armies also held the 28th INDOPHIL Army Working Group Meeting last month. The said meeting, which is being alternately hosted by the Philippines and Indonesia, is geared at reviewing and assessing bilateral activities that were conducted for the year and developing bilateral engagements for the succeeding year.
