An Army sergeant bagged two medals in the Singapore Beach Wresting Fiesta that saw the action of 120 elite wrestlers, grapplers and samboists at the Siloso Beach, Sentosa, Singapore on August 28, 2022.
Sergeant Noel Norada bagged the gold medal after dominating the Beach Wresting 70-kilogram category. He also clinched a silver medal in the Bech Sambo 73-kilogram bracket of the said tourney organized by the Singapore Wrestling Federation.
Special Service Center (SSC) Director Colonel John Oliver F. Gabun lauded Sgt. Norada for bringing honor and glory not just to the Philippine Army, but most importantly to the country. “Congratulations on your victory! Your steadfast dedication and effort to train on top of fulfilling your duties as a soldier is truly laudable. Know that the Philippine Army is behind your back as you play in bigger matches in the future,” the SSC Chief remarked.
