The list of actors who are seeking to join the Army’s reserve force continues to grow as two Kapuso stars expressed their willingness to serve as reservists during their visit to the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila, the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, Philippine Army (OG9, PA) announced on August 30, 2022.
Actress Ms. Vaness del Moral as well as actor and singer Mr. Brent Valdez conveyed their willingness to undergo the 45-day Basic Citizen Military Training during their courtesy call on Assistant Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, G9, Colonel Jaime R. Datuin.
OG9, PA staff also apprised the two aspiring reservists about the Army’s reserve component. The said activity is part of the continuous efforts of OG9, PA to expand and strengthen the Army’s reserve force.
It can be noted that Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., vowed to prioritize the development of a capable, well-trained, well-disciplined and readily deployable reserve force that could effectively complement regular troops in times of war, invasion, rebellion, or national emergency such as calamities.
