Philippine Army Provident Fund welcomes new general manager

The Office of the Chief Provident Fund (OCPF) of the Philippine Army welcomed its new general manager in a change of chief of office ceremony presided by Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on September 7, 2022.
 
Incoming OCPF General Manager Lieutenant Colonel Jacqueline T. Hamamoto succeeded Lieutenant Colonel Nympha D. Dacoco who has led the office in an acting capacity since March 2022.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Hamamoto led the 1st Finance Service Field Office of the Finance Center Philippine Army for more than two years prior to her new designation. She also held key administrative, logistics, and operations posts throughout her career. Lieutenant Colonel Hamamoto belongs to the Officer Candidate Course Class of 2000. She holds a BS Business Management degree from Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro and a Master in Public Management from the Development Academy of the Philippines.
 
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Dacoco will resume her responsibilities as assistant general manager of the PA’s Provident Fund.
 
Maj. Gen. Capulong, in his keynote remarks, lauded Lieutenant Colonel Dacoco for ably leading the PA’s Provident Fund despite her short stint. The CSPA likewise credited the female finance officer for instituting key reforms that expedited loan processing of personnel and helped the office to adapt to the changing needs of its clientele. “Without a doubt, Lieutenant Colonel Dacoco steered the office beyond its mandate of responding to the emergency needs of its members and continuously providing effective and relevant financial services to boost the morale and welfare of the Army,” the CSPA remarked.
 
“Lieutenant Colonel Hamamoto, I know that you are well-prepared and well-equipped for your new mandate. Your accumulated knowledge of more than 23 years in service has surely molded you into an officer best suited to take over the position,” the CSPA added.
