CGPA joins 46th Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar

The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., joined the 46th Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS) in Dhaka, Bangladesh on September 12, 2022.

IPAMS, the largest annual gathering of Army chiefs in the Indo-Pacific region, aims to promote peace and stability in the region through mutual understanding, dialogue, and friendship.

“The IPAMS is a similar multi-national platform that can create a sense of friendship and warmth so that peace and stability prevail in the region,” Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in his remarks via video teleconference.

IPAMS is co-hosted by the Bangladesh Army and United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). A total of 23 senior Army leaders from nations across the Indo-Pacific region joined the event.

“We are all here at this seminar because we believe in increased cooperation, increased transparency, and respect for the national sovereignty of other nations," USARPAC Commanding General Gen. Charles A. Flynn meanwhile said in his remarks before Indo-Pacific Army leaders.
