Team Army shines in AFP-PNP-PCG Olympics 2022

Team Army flexed their teamwork and sporting prowess as they clinched victories in the first day of the two-week Armed Forces of the Philippines-Philippine National Police-Philippine Coast Guard (AFP-PNP-PCG) Olympics at the Lapulapu Grandstand, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on September 30, 2022.
 
Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Camilo Z. Ligayo bannered Team Army in the Generals' 4x100-meter relay. Likewise, Army officers clinched the gold medal in the Officer’s Team 7x100 meter relay. The Army’s backbone, the non-commissioned officers, snagged bronze in the 7x100 meter relay
Moreover, Army athletes, flexing their strength and teamwork, dominated both the men’s and women’s tug-of-war team categories.
 
The Covid-19 pandemic prompted the cancellation of the annual AFP-PNP-PCG Olympics for two consecutive years. The goodwill games aim to foster sportsmanship and camaraderie between soldiers and law enforcers.
