Army holds info drive on RA 11709

The Philippine Army—through the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel—held an information drive on Department of National Defense Circular No. 21 which serves as the Implementing Rules and Regulations for Republic Act (RA) No. 11709 via teleconferencing and onsite at the Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on October 5, 2022.
 
RA 11709, signed during the final weeks of the Duterte administration, seeks to promote the continuity of policies and modernization initiatives of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Meanwhile, DND Circular No. 21 laid out the framework for balancing the organizational needs and continued professionalization of Army personnel.
 
Army Personnel Management Center resource persons discussed details of the circular on recruitment, attrition, promotion and placement of Army personnel while OG1, PA officers discussed how the Command plans to implement R.A. 11709 smoothly in line with existing PA human resource management policies.
 
Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel of Philippine Army Major Units (PAMUs), key HPA officers, and senior non-commissioned officers attended the HPA leg of the information drive which will also be held in Mindanao, Visayas, Northern Luzon and Southern Luzon.
