Vice Commander, Philippine Army (VCPA) Maj. Gen. Camilo Z. Ligayo visited the headquarters of the Army Signal Regiment (ASR) to check on troops’ morale and reiterate the Army leadership’s thrusts on October 4, 2022 in Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
ASR Commander Col. Alejandro J. Papa led the briefing for the Army Vice Commander who was also given a tour of the regiment’s cyber facilities.
Maj. Gen. Ligayo, in his keynote speech, reiterated Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.’s guidance encapsulated in “SERVE”: ensure the physical and mental health of soldiers, the Army’s most valuable resource; enhance individual soldier skills and unit capabilities; push down resources to all units nationwide; attain victory over communist terrorist rebels and other threat groups, and pursue operational excellence.
The Army Vice Commander likewise lauded the regiment for fulfilling its crucial role as core provider of signal support and services through cutting-edge Command, Control, Communication, and Cyber System equipment.
