The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, held bilateral talks with U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) Deputy Commanding General Lt. Gen. James B. Jerrard to reinforce strong ties between the two ground forces during the International Land Defence Exposition 2022 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from October 4 to October 6, 2022.
The CGPA and the USARPAC Deputy Commanding General and their respective staff discussed bilateral efforts to sustain and strengthen partnership between the two armies, particularly on training and subject matter expert exchanges aimed at capacity-building.
The meeting follows the bilateral talks between Lt. Gen. Brawner and USARPAC Chief Gen. Charles A. Flynn during the 2022 Mutual Defense Board and Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB) Meeting at Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii on September 27, 2022.
