Combat-wounded troops receive early Yuletide gifts

Wounded-in-action troops recuperating at the Army General Hospital (AGH) received early Yuletide gifts from a non-government organization in a simple ceremony at the AGH Lobby, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on October 7, 2022.

The activity is meant to uplift the morale of the wounded-in-action soldiers, according to the donor group, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Philippines. It is also a way of recognizing their heroism in fulfilling their sworn oath to secure the land and showing gratitude for their sacrifices in serving the people, the donor group added.

The activity supports the command guidance of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., to ensure the physical as well as mental health of soldiers, the Army’s most valuable resource.
