The Philippine Army (PA), through the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans, held its 8th online installment of the Strategic Forum Series that featured resource persons who tackled building a culture of organizational meritocracy and trends in organizational management and systems automation on October 11, 2022.
The webinar which was anchored on the theme “Moving Towards Transformation: Adapting to Complexities of a Technology-Driven Operating Environment” featured De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Assistant Professor Ms. Maricel Fernandez-Carag who proposed ways to institutionalize meritocracy in the 125-year-old Philippine Army. Dr. Jacinto Gavino, an expert on strategic planning, change management, and procurement reform, also talked about systems automation and organizational management systems.
The Philippine Army Strategic Forum aims to build the Army's strategic culture and advance the critical thinking skills of Philippine Army personnel. The forum also apprises Army personnel on the multi-faceted emerging trends and issues that impact the Philippine Army.
