Army holds 5th PA Multisectoral Advisory Board Summit and Governance Forum

The Philippine Army held its 5th PA Multisectoral Advisory Board Summit and Governance Forum aimed at sustaining its transformation goal by engaging its partners on October 14, 2022 at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City.

The event, which is spearheaded by the Army Governance Strategy and Management Office, is also aimed at espousing and cascading good governance, transparency, and accountability principles to Philippine Army Major Units (PAMUs). The activity also took stock of PAMU’s iniatatives in the areas of retirement planning, employing former rebels, school-based promotion of PA counterinsurgency efforts, Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR) knowledge management hub, stakeholders’ training, determining and resolving scorecard gaps; and the Adopt-A-Battalion program.

“I extend my sincerest gratitude to our PA MSAB members under the able leadership of Director General Charito B. Plaza and to the rest of our accountability partners for your valuable insights and substantial contributions in our activity,” Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., who served as the event’s guest of honor and speaker, said in his closing remarks.

“To our champions for good governance, I convey my heartfelt thanks for devoting your time in sharing your first-hand experiences in the Philippine Army’s ATR journey,” the Army Chief concluded.
