ROTC, military, and police cadets break barriers in marking the 5th liberation anniversary of Marawi siege

Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), Philippine Military Academy, Philippine National Police Academy, Officer Candidate School of the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, and Philippine Navy gathered together to take the youth's role during the 5th Marawi Liberation Anniversary on October 15, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
 
The officer cadets joined the exhibition tour, showcasing the different Army units’ tactics and strategies which contributed in liberating Marawi city from the ISIS-inspired Maute terrorist group. The cadets participated from the demo lectures and combat displays to relive the experiences and learn the lessons of the five-month long armed conflict in Marawi, Lanao del Sur.
 
The Commanding General, Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., highlighted the utmost importance of remembering the heroism of the soldiers, law enforcers, and civilians who paid the ultimate sacrifice in liberating Marawi City. Lt. Gen. Brawner also encouraged the cadets to passionately serve the people and the country.
