Army vows oath of allegiance to the AFP Code of Conduct

The Headquarters Philippine Army simultaneously took the Renewal of Pledge of Allegiance with the Philippine Army Major Units (PAMUs) and subordinate offices during the 32nd Armed Forces of the Philippines Code of Conduct Anniversary on October 17, 2022 at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila and via Video Teleconferencing.
 
The Army soldiers reaffirmed their pledge to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards of AFP which follows the ethical, legal, and moral embodiment of a military personnel.
 
The activity was highlighted with the reading of the message of the Chief of Staff Armed Forces of the Philippines Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O. Bacarro by the Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Roberto S. Capulong to the officers and enlisted personnel present in the conference and online. In his message, the AFP Chief of Staff mentioned, "in the past years, we have gone through several changes and won over formidable challenges with the AFP Code of Conduct as one of our moral compasses, consequently making us stronger and more credible as a transforming organization."
 
The AFP Code of Conduct is the framework of AFP personnel in following the core values of honor, valor, duty, solidarity, love of the country, and loyalty to the Constitution. The pledge of alliance is to remind every soldier, as backbone of the organization, to practice the tenets and follow the principles of good and right conduct.
