Army’s 525th Engineer Combat Battalion rescues residents affected by Typhoon Paeng in Bacoor

The Army's 525th Engineer Combat Battalion of the 51st Engineer Brigade deployed two light Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams to conduct evacuation operations for the residents affected by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng at different barangays of Bacoor City, Cavite on October 30, 2022.
 
The two USAR teams are composed of 42 Army personnel with 2 KM450 military trucks, 2 GAZ-SADKO trucks, and 4 rescue boats, who provided humanitarian assistance and disaster-response (HADR) missions in the barangays of Salinas I, Niog II, Panapaan VI, and Talaba I of Bacoor City, Cavite.
 
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., assured that the Army troops are ready and prepared especially during this time of calamities. He also vowed that Army Disaster Response Units will continue to extend a helping hand and be of service to all affected areas by Typhoon Paeng.
