Philippine Army, U.S. Army troops culminate Oahu East Range recon exercise

Combined elements of the 91st Brigade Reconnaissance Company (91BRC), 1st Brigade Combat Team and the U.S. Army's 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade (5SFAB) wrapped up their recon exercise at the jungles of Oahu East Range in Hawaii on November 2, 2022.

The combined forces conducted an after-activity review of the techniques, tactics and procedures employed during the Oahu East Range recon exercise.

The activity signals the shift to the second exercise phase for 91BRC and 5SFAB during the Joint Pacific Multireadiness Center (JPMRC) Rotation 23-01. The multinational exercise is being conducted by the U.S. Army Pacific, U.S. joint forces, and participating allied armies across the Hawaiian archipelago.

The Philippine Army has sent a 103-strong contingent to the multinational training exercise that aims to foster camaraderie and interoperability among allied armies from across the Indo-Pacific Region.
