Philippine Army medical team picks up best practices from U.S. Army medics

The Philippine Army (PA) medical team picked up best practices from their U.S. counterparts as they integrated with the U.S. Army's 225th Brigade Support Battalion (225BSB) during the ongoing Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) Exercise at the Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii from November 2 to November 4, 2022.

The PA medical team attended lectures on trauma care and damage control surgery facilitated by 225BSB's Forward Surgical Rescucitative Detachment. The team also observed medical procedures for "wounded-in-action" troops during the exercise at Schofield Barracks' South Range.

The Philippine Army is currently participating in the month-long multinational training exercise that aims to foster camaraderie and interoperability among allied armies from across the Indo-Pacific Region.
