Army delegates brace for AFP DAGIT-PA Joint Exercise in Palawan

The Philippine Army geared up for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Joint Exercise (AJEX) “DAGIT-PA” that will be held at the operational area of WESCOM in Punta Baja, Rizal, Palawan on November 7-18, 2022.
 
Among the participating delegates are from the Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA) General Staff, Training and Doctrine Command, Army Signal Regiment, Army Aviation Regiment, 15th Infantry Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Battalion, 3rd Signal Battalion, 525th Engineer Combat Battalion, 408th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, 6th Cavalry Company, Armor Division, Explosive Ordnance Battalion, 4th Intelligence Service Unit, and 3rd Infantry Division’s Forward Service Medical Company.
 
The Army will join the two main events namely Field Training Exercise 4A (FTX 4A) - Combined Arms and Littoral Live Fire Exercise (CALLFEX) and the Field Training Exercise 4B (FTX 4B) - Urban Operations. These exercises will test, evaluate, and enhance the command’s effectiveness and interoperability with other major services.
 
DAGIT-PA stands for “Dagat-Langit-Lupa” which focuses on enhancing the readiness of the Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army, and Philippine Marines on joint and combined operations that mirrors a real-world scenario. DAGIT-PA joint exercise also integrates the newly acquired game-changer assets with the existing capabilities in the sea, air, and land.
 
Earlier, Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG) Commander Brig. Gen. Moises M. Nayve, Jr., represented Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S Brawner, Jr., during the opening ceremony of DAGIT-PA, presided by the AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro at the General Headquarters, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on November 7, 2022. The ceremony was also attended by the commanders of participating units through virtual teleconferencing.
