The Chief Nurse, Armed Forces of the Philippines Brig. Gen. Venus M. Bajarin rendered an exit call to the Commanding General, Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., on November 8, 2022, at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
The Army chief lauded Brig. Gen. Bajarin for leading the Office of The Chief Nurse (OTCN) through formulating and implementing new nursing policies. Lt. Gen. Brawner also recognized the AFP Chief Nurse for its extensive strategies on upholding the best practices when handling patients and creating a conducive environment for the military and civilian personnel especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brig. Gen. Bajarin is set to bow out of service on November 26, 2022, after more than 31 years of military service.
Brig. Gen. Bajarin was commissioned in 1990 and assigned to the AFP Nurse Corps in 1991. Before being assigned to the OTCN, AFP, Brig. Gen. Bajarin was also the Chief Nurse of Victoriano Luna Medical Center (VLMC), AFP Health Service Command. Brig. Gen. Bajarin also held significant positions such as Deputy Chief Nurse, AFP; Chief Nurse, Camp Evangelista Station Hospital, 4th Infantry Division; and Clinical Supervisor of VLMC, AFP HSC.
