The Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. called for a consultative meeting for Republic Act 11709 or the law which promotes the continuity of policies and modernization initiatives of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, on November 8, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
The Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel facilitated the attendance of all personnel staffs of Philippine Army Major Units (PAMUs), and key Headquarters Philippine Army officers to attend the meeting through face-to-face and virtual setup.
RA 11709 laid out the fixed long terms for key officers to ensure the continuity of programs and the mandatory retirement age of generals or flag officers to provide a more effective workforce system in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The Army chief expressed his gratitude to all the Army officers for coming and expressing their views. “I hope that we were able to capture your most important comments and recommendations. Rest assured that your Philippine Amy is thinking of your careers and advancement in the command. Let us not lose our hope in the system, but let us continue to work hard for our country and fellowmen.”
