Army Artillery Regiment holds closing ceremony of its Capability Development Workshop 2022

The Army Artillery “King of Batttle” Regiment of the Philippine Army conducted the closing ceremony of its Capability Development Workshop on November 18, 2022 at the AAR Headquarters, Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.
 
Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations Col. Alvin V. Luzon, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the culmination of activity. Col. Luzon expressed that the practicum will contribute on ensuring the dominance of the Army’s capabilities that is worth emulating by the other Major Units of the command.
 
Col. Luzon also mentioned Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr.’s command guidance, SERVE, “This capability development workshop is in line with the CGPA’s command’s thrust and leadership principles as encapsulated in the acronym SERVE, with the first E which is to enhance not only the individual soldier’s skills but also the units’ competencies and capabilities.”
 
The AAR Capability Development Workshop 2022 discussed the non-materiel development of the Missile and Air Defense Capabilities starting with the formulation of the Medium Term Plan 2025-2030. The purpose was to formulate the program proposals for Fires, Air Defense, and Counterswarm which include the Missile Regiment, Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) Battery, and the Very Short Range Air Defense (VSHORAD) Battery.
