Wounded Army, CAFGU personnel receive early Christmas gifts

The Army and Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) Active Auxiliary (CAA) wounded troops confined in the Victoriano Luna Medical Center (VLMC) benefitted from a gift-giving program led by Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., on December 7, 2022 at VLMC, V. Luna Ave, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila.

The command prioritizes the morale and welfare of its personnel as well as the family members to enhance the physical and mental capacities of every soldier and CAA. The gift-giving activity benefited 131 confined military personnel, including 16 battle casualties. The program acknowledged the heroic deeds of the wounded soldiers for their valiant service to the country and the people.

The Army chief also encouraged every soldier to never lose hope in times of suffering. “Bilang inyong pinunong heneral, hangad ko na huwag kayong sumuko sa mga problema na inyong kinakaharap, sa halip ay gawin niyo itong inspirasyon upang lalo pang magpursige bilang mahuhusay na sundalo,” emphasized the Army chief.

The gift-giving program is one of the Yuletide activities of the command starting December 1 to 31, 2022, to recap and recognize the one year of efficient and productive service that the Philippine Army has made.
