The Philippine Army crowned its new Ginang Kawani Philippine Army 2022 on December 8, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The Army General Hospital's representative Ms. Edeliza Nonna V. Dela Rosa wore the crown out of the eleven Civilian Human Resource candidates from different Army Major Units and offices nationwide. Ms. Dela Rosa also received awards for Miss Photogenic, Best Video Presentation, and Best Regional Costume. Army Human Rights Office's Ms. Jean Alexa R. Hermida won 1st Place, while 52nd Engineer Brigade's Ms. Jessica Jane C. Glinogo and Office of the Army Provost Marshall's Ms. Wherlmina R. Arel-Gaviso was awarded the 2nd and 3rd Place awards respectively. Ms. Glinogo also bagged the award for Best Long Gown.
The event was also graced by judges Deputy Army Adjutant Col. Regimor G. Reyes, Provident Fund Chief Lt. Col. Jacqueline T. Hamamoto, Army Signal Regiment's Network Battalion Executive Officer Maj. Melanie B. Sibayan, Chief of Civilian Personnel Affairs Division, OJ1, Armed Forces of the Philippines Dr. Maria Monica C. Costales, and Binibining Kawani 2021 Ms. Thea Francesca V. Tabudlong.
Also, present during the event was the Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. who extended his greetings to the winners and participants of the competition.
“The Philippine Army recognizes the fruits of hard work and dedication of our Civilian Human Resource through the Search for Ginang Kawani 2022. This activity aims to showcase the candidates’ core values, core competencies, and the main functions of the office or unit that they are representing and to show appreciation for the efforts of the working mothers who balance their role as a mother and as government workers,” said Lt. Gen. Brawner.
The Search for Ginang Kawani 2022 is a part of the Philippine Army’s activities to celebrate this year’s National Government Employees Week.
