Local Terrorist member surrenders in Lanao del Sur

A Local Terrorist Group (LTG) member voluntarily surrendered to the 51st Infantry “Fuerte Uno” Battalion (51IB) under the 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division (1ID) along with his high-powered firearm at 51st IB Headquarters, Brgy. Dilausan, Madalum, Lanao del Sur on December 19, 2022.

The LTG member belonged to the Dawlah Islamiya–Maute Group (DI-MG) identified as “Mas’od” who brought his M14 rifle to the 51IB. The surrenderee is currently in the custody of 51IB and undergoing custodial debriefing.

The Army leadership commended the 51IB on their continuous community support programs which led to the surrender of a Local Terrorist member and M14 rifle in Lanao del Sur.
