Army raises the flag for AFP Anniversary

The Philippine Army raised the national flag in commemoration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines' (AFP) 87th Founding Anniversary on December 21, 2022, at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.

Army Units nationwide participated in the simultaneous flag raising led by Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. During the ceremony, CGPA also relayed the message of AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O. Bacarro to the soldiers.

"Nais kong iparating sa bawat sundalong Pilipino ang aking taos-pusong pagpupugay sa inyong pag-aalay ng buhay para sa bayan. Ikinagagalak at ipinagpapasalamat ko rin na ako ay kasama nyo sa inyong paglilingkod at pagtataguyod ng kaligtasan ng ating kapwa Pilipino. Ang tapat na pagsisilbing ito ang syang naging saligan upang patuloy tayong maghangad na matamasa ang tunay na kapayapaan para sa ating inang bayan," said Lt. Gen. Brawner as he read the CSAFP's message.
