The Philippine Army (PA) through the leadership of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., signed an army-level Terms of Reference (TOR) with Royal Cambodian Army (RCA) Commander Lt. Gen. Hun Manet through a virtual set-up on January 19, 2023 at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
The TOR signing was a result of continuous bilateral talks and engagement between the Philippines and Cambodia armies since 2019. The TOR also laid out the establishment of a PA-RCA Army Working Group that will develop and plan army-to-army exchanges and activities that will further sustain the engagements of both Armies.
The Army chief conveyed his eagerness and enthusiasm toward cooperation with the Royal Cambodian Army. "I am certain this TOR-signing will truly open new windows of opportunities for our Armies for enhanced defense and security collaboration and mutual organizational growth," expressed Lt. Gen. Brawner.
