The Philippine Army hosted a testimonial dinner for outgoing 10th Infantry “Agila” Division (10ID) Commander Maj. Gen. Nolasco A. Mempin and Army Support Command (ASCOM) Commander Maj. Gen. Glenn E. Cruz at the Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on January 20, 2023.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., thanked Maj. Gen. Mempin and Maj. Gen. Cruz for supporting the programs and thrusts of the Philippine Army during their 36 years of service in different units of assignment.
”To our honorees, our well-accomplished generals, as you culminate your service in a few weeks, on behalf of our team Army, I express my sincerest gratitude for your dedicated service to the Almighty, the Army, the AFP. We wish you all the best as you commence a new chapter in your life,” the Army Chief said.
Under the leadership of Maj. Gen. Mempin, the 10ID was able to dismantle 11 CPP-NPA guerilla units to support the government’s fight against communist insurgency. On the other hand, Maj. Gen. Cruz brought his expertise in leadership through the establishment of new and modern military facilities to improve the logistics operation of ASCOM.
