The Philippine Army won as the Champion under Team vs Team category during the Philippine Navy-hosted Game of the Generals (GOG) at the Philippine Marines Firing Range on January 31, 2023.
Participants of the said game were the generals coming from the General Headquarters, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy, Philippine National Police and Philippine Coast Guard.
Team Army 1 which is led by Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., and Team Army 2 which is led by 1st Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete were the top 2 teams who fought for the Perpetual Trophy where Team Army 1 hailed as the Champion of the Team vs Team category.
The Army Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. emphasized that the game aims not only to showcase shooting skills but also to display sportsmanship and foster camaraderie among the military and various law enforcement agencies.
