The Philippine Army Altama Team emerged as first runner-up in the Manila Hustle 3x3 Women's International Invitational Tournament at Robinsons Magnolia, Quezon City on February 5, 2023.
The Philippine Army Altama Team, composed of Corporal Marilourd Socorro Borja, Private First Class France Mae Cabinbin, Private Camille Sambile, Private Nathalia Prado, and Private Daphne Payadon, bowed to the Lady Macbeth Riots who emerged as the tourney's champion. Private First Class Janine Pontejos, a member of the 2019 SEA Games champion team, bannered the Lady Macbeth Riots, one of six local squads that competed in the event. Moreover, Private Prado was selected as one of the tournament’s “Mythical 3.”
Special Service Center (SSC) Director Colonel John Oliver F. Gabun lauded the Philippine Army lady ballers for excelling in the said international competition that saw the action of 12 elite teams from five countries. “Kudos on your feat. Sustain your winning momentum and we will support you all the way,” the SSC Chief remarked.
