UP Mindanao, 11RCDG eye ROTC program

The 11th Regional Community Defense Group (11RCDG) of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army and the University of the Philippines Mindanao leadership discussed the planned implementation of the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program in the said university in a meeting at the UP Mindanao campus in Mintal Tugbok District, Davao City on February 15, 2023.
 
11RCDG Commander Colonel Josue M. Caberto and his staff rendered a call on UP Mindanao Chancellor Prof. Lyre Anni E. Murao who affirmed her support for the implementation of the said program.
 
The Philippine Army has initiated significant reforms to overhaul the ROTC program which include instructors undergoing Instructors Development Training (IDT) and a series of seminars and workshops to broaden and enhance their skills. The Army leadership said that the ROTC program will play a vital part in the development of a responsive and capable reserve force that can be mobilized in response to national emergencies and calamities.
