The Philippine Army’s 51st Engineer Brigade (51EBde) celebrated its 57th founding anniversary with the theme “Primera Brigada @ 57: Sustaining Excellent Service without Bounds” on July 14, 2023 at Camp General Atienza, Libis, Quezon City.
The core of the anniversary celebration of the 51EBde was the unwavering commitment of the unit to provide general engineer support to the Philippine Army units and to further humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations during calamities.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. graced the event and praised the various engineering projects, nation-building endeavors, and Disaster Response Operations of the 51Ebde on the whole Island of Luzon. The Army chief also commended the engineering personnel who displayed the highest level of competence, technical expertise, and adaptability values, placing the unit on the epitome of public service.
“As we celebrate your founding anniversary, let us not forget the sacrifices, hard work, and perseverance that you and all those who have come before you have displayed time and time again. You embody the true spirit of a Filipino soldier – courageous, selfless, and dedicated,” said Lt. Gen. Brawner in his remarks.
