Newly-installed Army Chief leads his first 1st PA-wide command conference

The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido laid out his command guidance as he led the 1st Philippine Army-wide Command Conference held onsite and online on August 8, 2023 at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
 
The newly-installed CGPA conveyed his command guidance to the key officials during the sit-down conference – giving order to the 110,000 members of the Philippine Army to amplify an effective and disciplined organization ready to face the challenges of becoming an agile, adaptable, competitive, and world-class Army.
 
Lt. Gen. Galido, set forth his command thrusts encapsulated in the word, “ARMY”: soldiers to Always pray to seek divine guidance in their daily activities; soldiers should strive on being Reliable, Responsive, Relevant to address the needs of the nation; and every resource, effort, and sacrifice must be Mission-oriented to strengthen the troops’ Morale which is paramount in the command - all these essential qualities of the soldiers to Yield personal interests and comforts for unity, the Army, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the nation.
 
The Army Chief emphasized that these thrusts will empower the Philippine Army to foster an innovative workforce within various units and offices, espousing diverse, disciplined, and agile troops.
 
Philippine Army Major Unit Commanders, PA Command Group, General Staff, Personal Staff, Special Staff, Technical Staff, Functional Commands, Specialty Enablers, and PA-Wide Support and Separate Unit Commanders attended the conference physically while other key officials attended the event through video-teleconferencing.
