FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – Team Army composed of Army personnel and civilian employees’ dependents bagged three gold medals for volleyball-girls, swimming, and road run (3k/5k) sports activity in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)-hosted Little Olympics 2023 at Lapu-lapu Grandstand, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on August 10, 2023.
Team Army dependents also clinched four silver medals for the 4x100M relay, modern dance, football, and Karatedo while two bronze medals for table tennis and taekwondo, placing them 1st runner up in the overall ranking of the Olympics. Young athletes from General Headquarters AFP, Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology competed in 11 sports activities.
The Army leadership commended the Army dependents for giving their best in the AFP-hosted Little Olympics which stands as a vivid embodiment of the Army's unyielding commitment to excellence and unity.
