Team Army emerged as Champion for the Supermix category in the Davao Smashers Kadayawan Badminton Challenge at Wheels and More Badminton Court, Badaja, Davao City on August 18 to 20, 2023.
The two-day tournament aimed to promote Davao's region as a sports-tourism capital while building character and improving the sportsmanship skills of sports enthusiasts. The event was attended by more than 250 competitors from different regions of the country.
The Army leadership commended the Army Badminton Team members for giving their best efforts in the badminton tournament which stands as a vivid embodiment of the Army’s unyielding commitment to excellence and unity.
Philippine Army athletes, Pvt Jerickaon Obaob and Pvt Yoha Art Rivas emerged as Champions in the event.
