The Philippine Army through the Office of the Army Chief Engineer concluded the Engineer Summit 2023 in a Closing Ceremony with the Commanding General Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido as Guest of Honor and Speaker at Headquarters 53rd Engineering Brigade, Camp Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City on August 25, 2023.
The Engineer Summit is an annual event that aims to optimize the Corps of Engineers’ organizational structure, systems, and processes to enhance its efficiency and effectiveness. The event orchestrated an array of workshops, product demonstrations, and lectures. These immersive sessions were attended by esteemed Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Civilian Human Resources via face-to-face and video teleconferences.
The Army chief emphasized the important role of the Corps of Engineers. "Economic progress of our country is very much needed. You are one of the pillars to trigger this economic development through infrastructure projects,” Lt. Gen. Galido said.
